You dunno only..

Haven been to church/cg for a couple of weeks now.. Feels weird.. Feels kinda empty.. Drifting away.. The media hype around church isnt exactly great either.. Pst Kong stepped down..

If Tim din know me well, he would have thought i backslide becos of the bad media press.. haha..
But no, the real reason is my priority of World Cup n work.. It's not an excuse and definitely not even a reason to skip service, but i bear the choices i make in life..

Cg's kinda in a bad shape now if u asked me.. I really wonder when will we disband with the inconsistencies of all the members.. I hardly seen Sy and Ade go svc before World Cup started, and even last week when Amos n Matt went, they were nowhere to be seen as well.. Goner i guess..

As much as we hate to admit it, sometimes, we need another kind of motivation to even go to service to worship our creator.. And i really struggle to commit to this cg, cos i feel it's really quite bad.. Kinda like the Italy football team u know.. The coaching staff is good, the players are okay, just not enuf teamwork to make it through..

Timothy's a good cgl, not the best, but good enough, the members aren't that weird now, but just somehow, everyone just cant connect together.. We're all just divided into our own groups.. Argh.. Wth.. Not like blogging it here, is gonna make any difference..

World Cup's down to the quarter finals now, and my bet, would be on Brazil, they look the most balanced and good..

As for work, haven really said much, but kinda getting used to it already.. I've been fortunate so far, cos almost every job i work, i've managed to work with my friends.. Be it Swensen's with Jx, or this telemarketing job with Matt, some insurance company with Stan, my two jobs from hell schedule with Lucas, and now airport job with Amos..

Sadly this time, i'm working different terminals from them.. But turns out pretty okay to me.. Works simple really.. U just get to experience the different kinds of people in this world.. Really different characters.. Mostly i work with aunties, as they are the cashiers.. The sales staff dun really talk to the counter people from what i've experienced.. They just mingle among themselves.. Security guard goes around and just disturb people.. Supervisors mostly hide in the room or act busy sumwhere, prob at dunkin donuts discussing "work"..

So mostly i mingle with cashiers, aunties..
Some are friendly..
Some are friendly + helpful..
Some talk to me..
Some talk to cashier friends only..
Some are demanding..
Some are relaxed..
Some are angsty..

Of cos time would pass faster if there are conversations in between work during the customer-free time, but i'm not very particular.. If the cashier doesnt really speak to packers, i will just do my job the whole time, n keep quiet, okay with me..

Those that chat up, i still will make an effort to start conversations.. Thou i'm not particularly good, or even adequate in my conversational skills.. My limit is really "hi, you need a packer here?" n "okay, i going off already, bye!" But u know, just some small talk, talk about the previous customer or sales staff.. The weather maybe?? hahaha..

Anyway, almost every shift i do for the past 2 weeks, i work with different cashiers.. So, kinda hard to keep chatting them up also.. Sometimes, i'm too shag, and i dun really feel like talking either..

However, when i work at a smaller shop, the sales staff n cashiers are more friendly, i guess, cos it's just smaller, more time to interact.. N i enjoy that kinda environment.. but i dun really get to choose to work there cos sometimes there arent enuf ppl, or sometimes, i just have to cover at the bigger shop..

But so far, there's been a stand out person, that has really been uber friendly with me.. Kinda shock that she works as a sales staff there at such a young age.. The way i see it, the average age of sales staff is prob like 30s.. Cos it looks like some are late 20s, 30s, got some even uncle n aunty like 40s or 50s working as sales staff.. Naturally i would think maybe late 20s.. But when amos showed me her facebook page, kinda surprised.. 20 years old..

Gosh, makes me look so old.. Plus she has been working there for 2 years, so since 18?? Amazing..

But i guess i shldnt say too much becos, me working as a packer at age 23, shocks the staff there as well.. Cos the packers there are either aunties who just wanna kill time, earn a really small income, or youths waiting for enlistment to NS.. so it's either like 40s or 17-19 that kind..

When i said i'm 23, they still ask me if i finished NS.. WAH, U DUNNO ONLY.. ORD LOH!
haha.. Well, to bed now, update again soon, i hope!
