Last entry of the year 2009

Cant believe it's New Year's Eve already.. Woke up at 4am today just to catch Man Utd thump Wigan 5-0.. It was a sign the New Year is gonna be a good one for Man Utd.

Well, as for me, I'm gonna break it to all my faithful readers of this blog right now. Let me say first, i din tell the whole world about this, cos it isnt something worth showing off. If anything, i would rather keep this news to myself. I only told a few who were affected, or those that i've met up.

So here it goes, i have suspected kidney stones or an infection in my kidney. Or really worst case, swuay to the max, it cld be a tumor, which is 99% unlikely of cos. It all started on the Christmas morning, when i went svc with Hp n Van. Went to the toilet, and i realised my pee was red, like yellowish red. I still think it has probably something to do with the bbq i had the night before, but then again, it sure wasnt matt lim's fault or anything that i had this.

It was probably stupid of me to delay treatment for something so "serious", but what could i do?? Spoil my whole festive season with trips to the hospital?? Make people more worried?? Not a chance.. I was focused on having fun, health later.. haha, makes me sound rather stupid, but i think it was worth it. I had fun this festive season.

Anw, finally went to the polyclinic on mon, felt it was a good time to do that also since i can take mc from work. Took my urine test, and the doc suspect it was the stones and i had a referral letter to CGH.. They tried to make an appointment with the specialist for me, but the earliest slot was in Feb, so wth, they just asked me to go A&E to go see.

Thank God for my mum who has connections in SGH. Got me an appt there the next morning. If not i really urine blood until dunno when already. Btw, I urine blood from Christmas day almost all the way till like yst?? Yst like my urine became normal again, not sure why either. And if you tot that it cldnt get any worse, the anti biotics that the polyclinic gave me, i was allergic to it. And i woke up the next morning with my face swollen with rashes. It's like a kick in your stomach when you are down. At tat point i was thinking, how much worse could it get??

Aft i woke up, I went to SGH Urology centre to check up. It was quite an horrifying experience i must admit, cos i wasnt prepared for it. This is what they did, lowered my pants n underwear, pulled up my shirt and then press around. Press the kidney area n the bladder area to check if pain. Then i think they use the ultrasound scan to scan my kidney. And lastly, they did the cough n see ur penis to see if u got hernia problems. Lastly they finished off with poking my backside. I duno what the heck they did to my backside, but i sure felt my body had been "comprimised" if u know what i mean. I haven revealed the worst part yet, it was a female doctor.. Wa sian.. Not chio sumore.. Wa even more sian.. LOL!

Back to serious stuff, so the ultrasound scan showed that my right kidney was swollen and there was something small there. Like i said, prob a stone or infection or tumor. They set me up for a CT scan and a scope on 19 n 22 Jam initially. But again, due to my mum's connection, i managed to get a CT scan the next day. Went for it already n now awaiting the results. Fingers crossed.

Being sick internally is really no joke. What i have is soo minor compared to those that have kidney failure and have to do dialysis. And already i suffer from 24/7 backaches becos of this. I cant imagine how those people can take it, their willpower to live on is really strong. Seriously, my backaches are killing me. It really aches 24/7. Even when i sit, even when i lie on my bed, it still aches. And it only gets worst when i go out, stand or even walk. It's really a torture. I will never underestimate these internal sickness again. No joke really.

And i need to watch my diet from now on. It saddens me tat whenever i go to Urology dept, i see mostly is old people that suffers from stones, and yet me, who is only 22 years of age is already suffering from it. Like apa link?? Maybe it's karma for laughing at Junhao's gout disease. Watch the diet, health living from now on. Goal for 2010. Simple, full stop.
