It's been ages since i blogged.. I've been so busy that in my spare time, i'm either doing something to relax or sleep.. Not that blogging is stressful, but no hweeling to blog..

Right now, i'm not really sure where to begin..

Let's begin with my previous job.. I quit-ted the airport job as a packer already.. WOOHOO!! Yup, very relieved that i quit that shitty hours and shitty pay job.. I'm not sure if i explained the situation.. I work at terminal 2, and there are 2 shifts everyday.. 6am-9am and 3pm-7pm.. 3hrs n 4 hrs shifts respectively..

From an outsider point of view, it looks okay what, 3 hrs shift, time sure pass by fast.. 4 hrs may struggle abit only.. But if i add in the other small details like, u r required to work as many shifts as possible cos there is a lack of personnel and work days are from fri-sun, just think twice about how the scenario pans out, and u wld know, it's a fucked up situation.

Imagine waking up 430am during the weekends.. People are probably still clubbing while u just woke up.. Transport to airport in the morning is free cos too early for first bus.. so from the time u wake up, 430am to 9am, the time u end work, guess what, u've just earned yourself $18 cos $6 per hr and 6am-9am, do the math.. By the time u reach home, it's 10am already.. total hours pass, 5.5hours.. minus your transport back home, $1.20, $16.80..

Reach home, shag, maybe u buy back brunch, $5 worth, $11.80 left liao.. Faster eat, more time to nap.. 10.45am nap till 1.30pm.. Prepare, spend another $1.20 to airport for next shift at 3pm.. Work 4 hours till 7pm, earn $24.. U think to urself, happy man already.. Net income now $34.60.. Take bus back home again 1 hour gone plus another $1.20 gone.. Buy dinner, $5 worth again.. $28.40 left..

Reach home at 8pm, shag as well.. Next thing u realised, weekend passed by already.. Spend the last 3 days like a dog to earn $28.40 per day.. U work for 7 hours, but feel like u work the entire day, and only earn $28.40..

Change scenario..

New job at Red Bull Singapore.. $7.50 per hour.. work from 930am-630pm, including 1 hr break. Total income, $60, minus lunch and dinner 10 bucks, travel $3.. $47 for 8 hours of work.. Almost twice the pay of the airport job, but only one hr longer..

New job comes with free flow of chips, fruit juice, cereals,milk, chocolate, biscuits, most importantly, redbull.. hahaha..

OT pay is at a x1.5 rate.. Weekends at x2 rate.. Imagine if i work on weekends for redbull and compare it with the airport job.. One pays $15 per hour, another pays $6.. Almost 3x the difference.. Really a dog job!

Amos and I quit at the same time.. And the Coordinator tried to "drop a bomb" on us.. She told Amos that both of us have been blacklisted by their company cos we quit very early in the job..

That would have probably been shown if that conversation had been turned into a movie.. Like seriously?!? Is that suppose to scare us?? Is that suppose to affect us at all?? Am i suppose to lose some sleep over it? Maybe lose my appetite? Or even lose some hair or even turn bald over it?? Am i suppose to say," NOOOOOO!!!! Please don't!!!!! I'd do anything not to get blacklisted.. I don't quit, i continue working, 1/2 the pay... NO, i work for FREE! Dun get me blacklisted!"

Seriously... It was clearly meant as a parting message to both of us, hoping that we would somehow regret our choice, but clearly, FAIL! You know the kinda shit you do when someone rejects your offer, and you just wanna say something at the end just to make sure they will regret someday, play some mind games with them, yup, that was it, that was what she was trying to do.. BUT FAIL!

I bet right now, if i go reapply the same job again, i would be accepted immediately.. The reason why you are required to work as many shifts as possible is becos all of them quit! Everyone is quitting becos the pay n hours are like shit!

I guess that's all the update for now.. Hopefully another one soon.. And if u still haven realised, yes, i'm working at redbull singapore now.. Working as an admin assistant.. Working on an adhoc duty, meaning, work when they need me.. So i can be working everyday to rush a deadline, or working 2 days a week.. That kinda thing.. But i've just completed a marathon last week, i will leave that for another time.. Definitely more purpose in working my current job than a packer at airport.. Maybe that's why i dun feel as shag as when i work at the airport, even thou it maybe the same hours..
